There is just nothing like homemade ice cream. One year when my Father was old we made homemade ice cream for the 4th of July. I have a picture of him sitting in the yard with the ice cream maker (turn handle kind) and my Daddy was wrapped up in a quilt sitting by the ice cream maker. It was precious to see. I said he was old, but now I am 10 years older than he was and I don’t feel old.
